Financial Management
- Responsible for the management and assist in the collection of account receivables
- Responsible for the management of direct reports billings and maintaining the level of interims as per company standards
- Responsible for revenue contributions and EBITDA/margins
File Quality / Customer Service
- In preparation for QA file reviews, review billings and fees in accordance with client billing expectations and corporate standards
- Handle insured and client complaints, monitor and ensure resolutions reached
- Review, analyze, revise, and sign adjuster’s reports, ensuring compliance/accuracy and efficiency
- Review fees for accuracy and quality
Technical Expertise and Support
- Act in a consultative and advisory capacity on claims matters and technical issues such as: coverage analysis, subrogation, liability determination, investigation, policy interpretation, settlement negotiation, and reserve establishment for claims
- Provides file review feedback and in some cases direction on file completion
Adjuster Production
- Manage budgeted revenue expectations in conjunction with individual adjuster production
- Works with Supervisor, Administrative Support to coordinate effective file support for adjusters
Employee Development
- Prepare and discuss performance reviews with staff members
- Provides guidance and feedback regarding performance
- Support technical training and other development requirements
- Coordinate and facilitate staff meeting on a regular basis
- In conjunction with the Licensing Officer, monitor and track licensing status/issues with FSCO and manage criteria for all direct reports
Resource Management
- Monitor and assess resources (capacity) vs. volume in conjunction with Human Resources and the management team
- Responsible for the recruitment and selection of staff
Business Development
- Responsible for meeting business development objectives as set out by the Corporation
Other
- Support the account management and effective partnerships with dedicated accounts; running performance overviews and producing monthly revenue reports in order to track trends
- Special projects as assigned by management
- Responsible for the communication of corporate policies and ensuring compliance
Qualifications & Experience
- CIP / FCIP designation or actively pursuing and/or nearing completion of same.
- Field Claims adjusting experience required.

- Position Summary: Management & oversight of Adjuster support team.

- Provide day to day management of admin support team within the District of Southwestern Ontario

- Mentor, train, and develop direct reports

Role Summary
The key focus of this position is to provide immediate and customer-focused assistance to policy holders who are reporting insurance claims. The CSR must document initial loss details and activities to ensure that the caller’s experience timely and service-oriented disposition of calls.
* Please note that the hours of work are operationally dependent and based on a rotating schedule over 24 hours per day / 7 days per week * Shifts will primarily be 4pm-12am, with mandatory shifts on weekends for at least 4-6 months. ** Preference will be given to candidates who have successfully completed the following Insurance Institute courses - Essentials of Loss Adjusting (C110), Automobile (C14), Property (C12) and Principles and Practices (C11) **

We are currently looking to add an experienced Intermediate to Senior level Property field adjuster to the GTA (Toronto, Mississauga, Newmarket, Markham, Whitby).
Completion of required CIP courses is essential; having an adjuster license in Ontario would be ideal.
The Independent Adjuster actively adjusts claims while ensuring that business development opportunities are maximized. This involves marketing and follow-up of opportunities in a timely manner. The profile duties create a dynamic portfolio requiring extremely well-honed organizational skills that enable day to day activities to be completed while allowing efficient and effective progress of file management activities.
To succeed in this role, the ideal candidate should have background/experience in Property.
Responsibilities:
- Prompt contact and follow up with policy holders and claimants.
- Investigate the cause and report to clients with solid recommendations.
- Using supplied technology (e.g., Xactimate, etc.), scope and establish quantum of damages.
- Identify liability exposures, recommend reserves, recommend investigation required for exposure, prepare action plans, and negotiate fair and satisfactory settlements.
- Throughout the claims process, provide high level of customer service to clients and the insured.
- Participate and share ownership and responsibility for afterhours customer service requirements.
- Perform duties assigned to him/her in compliance with established work standards, policies and procedures.
- Minimum Educational & Knowledge Requirements
- Completion of high school education; University degree or post-secondary education related to insurance will be given preference.
- Must have obtained or qualified to obtain at least Level 1 license in ONTARIO.
- Ongoing commitment to education and learning, preferably pursuing CIP designation.
- Proficient in use of Microsoft Office Products (Outlook, Word, Excel, OneDrive).
Experience:
- Prior experience in desktop or field claims adjusting, preferably in property.
- Equivalency in combination of education and experience will be considered.
Competencies required to succeed:
- Proactive in finding resolutions, with sense of urgency and responsiveness.
- Effective analytical skills including identification of cause-and-effect dynamics.
- Able to draw valid conclusions and effectively communicate them.

Qualifications and Experience:

- Adjuster’s license, or currently pursuing CIP designation

Job Responsibilities
- Support to the adjusting team and the branch office
- Provide high level of customer service to clients and the insured
- Set up and preparation of new claims assignments to internal adjusters in accordance with predetermined KPI’s and client guidelines
- Professional telephone manner and excellent communication skills both written and verbal
- Ability to problem solve and work well independently and in a team environment
- Strong organizational skills with an ability to re-prioritize tasks and manage time effectively

- Processing client invoicing for claims and prepare files for closure
- Administrative support to the district/branch manager, assistant branch manager and property supervisor as needed
- Coordinating and arranging various appointments for adjusters in addition to handing both incoming/outgoing phone inquiries
- Answer phones and forward calls in a timely, professional and efficient manner
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications & Experience
- Bilingual in French/English
- A post secondary diploma in Office Administration
- Equivalency in combination of education and experience will be considered.
